This non-profit organization was established to promote awareness, increase understanding and recognize the contributions of the West Indian Americans to the United States military through the exchange of culture and promote its diversity through education and celebration, focusing on the month of June as the West Indian-American Heritage Month, and continuing throughout the year. |
WIAMMA FC was victorious defeating NY Icepicks 3-1. Alvin Bacillio led the scoring with two goals followed by Buxton Bucky Ayton with one. An outstanding performance considering what it took to get there. Congrats!
Many thanks and gratitude to the WIAMMA members and friends that made the trip to New York on Saturday. With the failure of our contracted bus to show, our members graciously volunteered to drive their personal vehicles to New York. There was not an ounce of negative feedback from anyone in reference to the bus disappointment. Instead all were willing to do whatever it took to make it to New York and not disappointment our host.
To our hosts, we would also like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the warm welcome, the challenging match, and their gracious reception. Great food, great fun, and great company.
